Type of heat treatment for forging waste heat

At present, in order to make full use of the waste heat of large forgings, the heat treatment of the forgings is carried out directly after forging, that is, the heat treatment of forging selects the waste heat. There are generally three heat treatments for forging waste heat. Next, we will explain these three types in detail (1) Post-forging heat treatment: that is, the forging is directly heat treated after forging, and the selection of forgings is closely combined with the heat treatment. This process is also called high temperature thermomechanical treatment. Heat treatment after forging can save a lot of energy and man-hours, and improve labor productivity. In addition, forming heat treatment can also make forgings to obtain good comprehensive mechanical properties. For this reason, many countries in the world adopt post-forging heat treatment, that is, by controlling the forging and cooling after forging, to prevent the formation of coarse ferrite and pearlite and prevent the precipitation of type 2 carbides, so as to directly obtain the structure obtained by conventional normalizing. And performance, isothermal normalizing and quenching after forging and reheating. In this way, the conventional normalizing, waiting quenching and reheating quenching can be eliminated. (2) This method is called waste heat homogenization heat treatment. In the case of not using the waste heat of forging, a heat treatment process is still required. The production of light-duty automobile crankshafts and front axles requires a quenching resistance heating furnace of about 1000kW.
