Investment casting according to the lost-wax casting process
finds its greatest potential in the case of components needed in steel or special steel where high demands are made for the surface quality, where close tolerances are required to save processing expenses, where components are in demand with contours close to the final shape and where a freedom for design is requested.
By this method it is possible to produce geometries that can be created by other methods only at great expenses by composing several individual components.
